Senior QC Inspector - Reactor

Would you like to play a key role in the Quality Reactor team for the Next Generation Nuclear Propulsion Plants for the Dreadnought submarine? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior QC Inspector - Reactor at our site in Barrow-in-Furness.

As a Senior QC Inspector - Reactor, you will be supporting the Quality Team Leader NDC and will be providing inspection and assurance for the manufacture, build, test and commission for the Dreadnought class of submarines.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work within an exciting and challenging environment, ensuring Quality is at the forefront of the nuclear build programme.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior QC Inspector - Reactor will involve:

Supporting Build Teams providing inspection and assurance to ensure the boat build meets all relevant NDE requirements

Providing direction to less experienced team members, supporting their work and development

Instructing and mentoring more junior members of the team

Carrying out routine and complex tasks with little supervision

Your skills and qualifications as a Senior QC Inspector - Reactor:

Essential:

Experience in Quality Control/Assurance

Experience in NDE standards and how they are applied in heavily regulated areas

Good understanding of Microsoft Office

Desirable:

Understanding of the Submarines business

Knowledge of SAP

PCN in Crack Detection, Ultrasonic Inspection and Radiography

PCN or CSWIP Weld Inspection

Nuclear Standards Inspectors course

Maritime - Submarines
