Fareham College offers state of the art facilities comprising workshops, classrooms, learning resource centres, a restaurant, a theatre, a hair and beauty salon and associated facilities. The College operates over three sites which are either purpose built or significantly updated and refurbished following an investment of £34m. In November 2017, the College received an ‘Outstanding’ judgement in its latest Ofsted inspection, and last February 2018 it was awarded the prestigious title of FE College of the Year at the TES FE Awards.

The CEMAST campus at Fareham College opened in 2014 and is the Centre of Excellence in Engineering, Manufacturing and Advanced Skills Training. The Centre based at Solent Airfield in Lee-on-the-Solent, has successfully trained thousands of students with the help of its staff. The Centre offers full-time courses and apprenticeship programmes from partner companies including BAE Systems, GE Aviation, Airbus and more. As a training facility for over 1,000 full-time and part-time students, the opportunities that we provide for our students are very important to us. We provide our students with the best possible environment for their studies and our campus has been largely designed around them and their needs. It is a great place for both students and lecturers to work.

Due to ongoing success, CEMAST is expanding. The team is growing, and they are looking for people who show excellence and a passion for both teaching and engineering to join their team. Student numbers are increasing and with more and more applications being submitted, CEMAST campus is looking for both qualified teachers and engineers to come and join their lecturing team. We are hiring across a wide range of engineering fields including; motorsport, automotive, aerospace and more.

It is important that we hire the right people to give our students the best education as possible. This means hiring professionals who have previously worked either as a lecturer, or engineers who have worked in their field of study.  However, there is no need to worry if you do not have the right teaching qualifications. CEMAST offers successful applicants paid for teacher training to get them where they need to be. It invests in both students and lecturers, so if you are thinking of changing the direction of your engineering career, take a look at some of the vacancies that it currently has to offer;

It was also voted ‘Britain’s Healthiest Workplace - Award for Most Improved Workplace’ in October 2017.
