Noriker Power, a leading UK developer of advanced battery storage systems, is seeking an influx of talent to unlock the next phase of our expansion.  Noriker has entered a new strategic cooperation agreement with Equinor, one of the world’s leading broad spectrum energy companies, and with fresh funding our pipeline of larger grid-scale projects is now being accelerated towards the construction phase.

The energy transition is now a global imperative, and Noriker is proud of its heritage as one of the largest UK energy storage developers, having claimed several industry firsts.  Our technology operates some of the biggest storage projects in the country and is a key enabler for the growth of green electricity on the grid.  The growth of renewables in the UK, since the turn of the century, has outstripped most projections; however, it does bring challenges in managing supply and demand and maintaining a stable grid.  Our fast-response battery storage systems are a vital tool in real-time balancing.

Since 2015, Noriker Power has developed a portfolio of 11 sites with over 250MW of aggregate capacity. These sites are all powered by Noricore™, our advanced real-time modular control system, which has continually evolved to meet the fast-changing demands of grid management in the era of distributed renewable generation. Our rapid deployment into National Grid’s Dynamic Containment Service, and a reconfigurable controls architecture for maximum flexibility, has put us at the forefront of flexibility services, and a major facilitator of an ever-more renewable grid. The strategic relationship with Equinor, who have taken a 45% stake in Noriker Power, will see Equinor investing in the construction of Noriker’s pipeline of battery and stability services projects, as well as cooperation in the development of co-location of batteries with Equinor’s renewable energy projects.

To continue our success, we invite all motivated, talented and well-educated engineers, software developers, data scientists, energy traders, technical leaders and business management professionals who share our passion, to work with us and build a zero-carbon future together.
