Laser Opportunities at Dstl

In particular, there are significant opportunities available for those looking to apply their expertise to laser research and development, as part of their Platform Systems Division. Focusing on a broad range of technical research areas, this division provides evidence-based analysis and evaluates exciting new capabilities to support front line commands.

There’s a huge amount of variety to the work, which means there’s always something new to explore. You could be a laser physicist, designing systems that operate in contested airspace as part of the Electro-Optic Countermeasures team. Or perhaps you’ll be a laser engineer, shaping the next generation of Laser Directed Energy Weapons. From science and physics through to analysis and technology, it’s hands-on, unique and exciting work that you won’t find anywhere else.
