Arm® technology is at the heart of a computing and connectivity revolution that is transforming the way people live and businesses operate. From the unmissable to the invisible, our advanced, energy-efficient processor designs are enabling the intelligence in 86 billion silicon chips and securely powering products from the sensor to the smartphone to the supercomputer. With more than 1,000 technology partners including the world’s most famous business and consumer brands, we are driving Arm innovation into all areas where compute is happening inside the chip, the network and the cloud.

With offices around the world, Arm is a diverse community of dedicated, innovative and highly-talented professionals. By enabling an inclusive and open workplace where all our people can grow and succeed, we encourage them to share their unique contributions to Arm's success in the global marketplace.

As the foundation of a global ecosystem of technology innovators, we empower the world’s most successful business and consumer brands. Everyday thousands of partners embed more than 45 million Arm-based chips in products that connect people and enhance the human experience. Extensible, scalable and ever evolving, it's a foundation that confirms how we lead by design — to serve today, anticipate tomorrow. There's nothing ordinary about Arm. Our collaborative culture, unique partner ecosystem and our innovations that shape the connected world are all as extraordinary as our people.

At Arm, we are guided by our core beliefs that reflect our rare culture and guide our decisions, defining how we work together to defy ordinary and shape extraordinary:

We not I

Take daily responsibility to make the Global Arm community thrive.
No individual owns the right answer. Brilliance is collective.
Information is crucial, share it.
Realise that we win when we collaborate — and that everyone misses out when we don’t.

Passion for progress

Our differences are our strength. Widen and mix up your network of connections.
Difficult things can take unexpected directions. Stick with it.
Make feedback positive and expansive, not negative and narrow.
The essence of progress is that it can’t stop. Grow with it and own your own progress.

Be your brilliant self

Be quirky not egocentric.
Recognise the power in saying ‘I don’t know’.
Make trust our default position.
Hold strong opinions lightly.

What does ‘Be Your Brilliant Self’ mean?  We reached out to Ishita Chatterjee, a Graduate Implementation Engineer based at Arm, Sheffield.  “For me, at Arm #BeYourBrilliantSelf means to effectively invest my technical skills to excel as an engineer, collaborate with my colleagues, to keep learning as I progress through my career and continue to thrive on these aspects.”

Ishita, who was recently recognised for making a difference through supporting educational outreach programmes, has taken the opportunity to volunteer through our employee community engagement programme, Team Arm.  “I’ve also been able to use my experiences to give back to the community, which is hugely important for me, helping to inspire others and supporting them to realise their full potential. “

To enable Ishita to be her brilliant self, the environment at Arm “has had a significant impact, for me to be able to do what I do at Arm, to be able to balance engineering work, community work and my life. The flexibility, trust and sustainable virtues that it bestows upon us makes it easier for me to realise my true self. It helps me, be me! I am constantly daring myself to be my brilliant self and I can be 100% myself at Arm.

Arm people are extraordinarily diverse, comprising a community of dedicated, innovative and talented professionals. Working at Arm means you are connected to a worldwide network of leading technologists. You can share and enhance your insights and skills with brilliant individuals working in a rich range of disciplines.

Diana Bite is 23 and whilst completing her undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Diana spent a sandwich year as a paid intern at Arm. For Diana, the internship provided the perfect opportunity to learn more about the company and graduate programme before committing to a full-time role.

Diana is now a Graduate Software Engineer with Arm, based in Manchester and is already halfway through her rotation. “The best thing about my placement, is that they rotate graduate learning every three months,” Diana shares. “I can learn about completely different things. First, I started in a small machine learning project, then I worked on graphics performance for games development. I can’t wait to see what I’ll be doing next.”

For Diana, who is still considering where to focus her career path, the variety the graduate programme offers has been ideal. “I am thankful for the chance to sample so many work areas and explore my career interests before choosing a direction. The continuous learning involved in my day job coupled with flexible working is a constant motivation for me to function at my best both at work and outside work."

Julie Gaskin has worked as a technical writer for almost 20 years. Today, she’s a Staff Information Developer at Arm, based in Manchester. During her three years with us, Julie has worked with various teams as part of our Technical Communications content creation department. Her proudest achievement (so far) was creating content to support a new product launch at the Games Developer Conference in San Francisco, US.

When I graduated with an electronics degree, I had no idea that this sort of job existed,” Julie says. “But the need for technical knowledge, combined with hands-on writing, has grown with the industry. Now there is a huge need for content creation within STEM, such as writing user guides, building web tutorials and creating videos to help customers use our products.

Personally, I am so proud that I was able to be part of a team that all worked together from around the world to make something happen and with great results.”

Our approach to flexible working has helped Julie to thrive. “The culture here, at Arm, is a breath of fresh air. If someone needs to pick the kids up early or come in late so they are guaranteed a seat on a train, there are no questions. Our managers are happy as long as the work is done, which means there are a lot more career progression opportunities here, certainly compared to other companies I’ve worked for.”

Arm as a global technology company creates intellectual property, for the silicon chip to delivering the cloud services that allow organizations to securely manage the deployment of products throughout their lifecycle, Arm delivers a complete Internet of Things (IoT) solution for our partners and customers. It's rooted in our deep understanding of the future of compute and security. 70% of the world’s population uses Arm technology. By 2035, we’re expecting there to be one trillion Arm powered devices – do you want to join the fifth wave of computing?
