Technical Project Manager
We have recently secured significant project success and are therefore looking to recruit a Technical Project Manager for our Equipment, Technology & Innovation Group based in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. The Group design and manufacture a range of electro-mechanical equipment for the generation and measurement of waves within physical laboratories around the world. The candidate should be enthusiastic, self-motivated and driven to provide engineering excellence. The roles would suit mechanical or electrical engineering graduates, preferable with experience or interest in working with electrically driven actuator systems, use of communication systems with ETHERNET / ETHERCAT protocol and/or delicate instrumentation using low voltage circuits.
Description of the role
To be successful in the role you will need to deliver cross functional projects involving mechanical, electrical / control and software disciplines. You will be comfortable managing both Clients and suppliers as well as delivering some technical aspects of the project.
- Technically inquisitive, as we innovate to provide our customers with novel solutions
- Hands on approach to resolving technical issues
- Flexibility to adapt to on-project demands / changes
- Solidworks experience
- Demonstrable project management experience (minimum 2 years) delivering electromechanical systems
- Degree level qualifications with a strong electrical bias
- ETHERNET / ETHERCAT knowledge
- Drive controller system development experience
The position is a permanent, full time role and will require international travel. The candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK.
