Project Assurance Delivery Lead
Working across our entire portfolio (operated and non-operated) you will support and assure the delivery of capital, decommissioning and significant operational projects understanding not just the time, cost and budget implications but where we unlock value. Advising at executive and asset management level you need to be ready to make tough decisions using your knowledge, business experience and commercial acumen.
You will undertake assurance reviews and endorse stage gates, advising senior management on readiness of projects to proceed to next phase and on status post-FID 2. Planning, tracking and reporting on all project assurance activities you will lead, participate and contribute to key decisions through peer reviews and/or assist with a view to maintaining the assurance and project management standards.
As a review leader/facilitator you will lead and facilitate project assurance reviews, including framing workshops, investment reviews, handover reviews, project completion reviews, independent peer reviews, compiling terms of reference and assurance review reports.
Assurance Coordination responsibilities involve planning, delivery and tracking of independent assurance programme in accordance with governance and assurance standard, reporting to the business outcomes of assurance activities with any recommendations for improvement. Coordinating outsourced independent assurance reviews performed by 3rd parties (e.g. Independent Project Analysis Reviews) and maintaining knowledge of all ongoing projects – scope, plans, key risks and opportunities is key.
Establishing a continual improvement process to collect, review and where appropriate implement feedback on standards / manuals from personnel will be required, keeping project management and assurance standards aligned with latest industry good practice.
With an aspiration for a future Asset Management/Business Leadership roles you will have in depth knowledge of project management, project controls and project governance and assurance processes.
Proven Safety Leadership credentials – understanding the importance of achieving exemplary HSE performance on projects and sound management of process safety to business success are required.
You will have the ability to quickly assess large amounts of information and be able to feedback succinctly on advised actions.
You will be degree qualified in a suitable technical or business subject
Experience of project development phase (pre-FID), project delivery phase (post-FID) and project governance and assurance (gate process) is key.
