Senior Field Service Engineer/Field Service Engineer
Would you like the opportunity to work on military and commercial platforms within BAE Electronic Systems? We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Field Service Engineer/Field Service Engineer at our site in Rochester.
As a Senior Field Service Engineer/Field Service Engineer, you will be based within the Field Service Department to facilitate the onsite support and repair as appropriate of the company's products and systems with both commercial and military applications.
This role will require travel both within the UK and abroad as dictated by the customer requirements.
This role will provide you with further training as required, excellent career progression opportunities and you will be fully supported in your development within BAE.
Your main responsibilities as a Senior Field Service Engineer/Field Service Engineer will involve:
Performing fault investigation, commissioning and calibration procedures to fulfil the business requirement on contracts currently held by the company
Tasking on legacy equipment in service may be required with our many customers world-wide
Training of customer's staff is often a requirement of the role in particular when new products are introduced in to service
Complete tasks in a timely manner to help set the customer up for success and provide excellent customer support
Travel at short notice as part of a team or individually to meet the business needs and commitment of our customer base. This may include short and long term deployments to customer premises around the world.
Your skills and qualifications:
Previous experience in a Development or Test / Engineering role would be desirable
A full driving licence is required for this role
Experience within a mechanical discipline would be advantageous
BTEC (including ONC/OND)/equivalent in an electronic discipline or equivalent experience

You will be an excellent communicator bother verbally and written. You will be highly organised with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Salary: £32,000 +
There is also a premium salary uplift of 20% available within this department.
