The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Stevenage. This is an interesting role where you would be responsible for the management and co-ordination of logistic activities for manufacturing to achieve project programmes to time, cost and quality.
 
The Role
  • Leading a small team, to ensure the timely and cost effective provisioning of parts and services in line with company processes and project milestones
  • Develop and produce manufacturing plans using appropriate business systems
  • Schedule work in line with customer delivery programmes, taking inventory and lead times into account
  • Hardware delivered to programme, budget and correct build standard, ensuring ability to withstand audit scrutiny throughout manufacturing cycle
  • Liaise daily with Technicians, Shop Supervision, Management and Customers, attending project meetings as required
  • Provide customers with topical programme status data, highlighting delays and proposing possible remedial actions
  • Solve day to day problems and co-ordinate/participate in team problem solving/continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and deliver training programmes with the team
  • Co-ordination for effective non-conformance management controls

  • Man management skills will be developed from your responsibility to delegate work packages assigned to you as required.
