Our Technology, Research & Innovation team comes up with cutting-edge technology to help officers fight crime. In this fascinating role, you’ll play your part in keeping Londoners safe by tackling varied projects that break new ground.

Ready to bring your mechanical design skills to our
Electronic Systems team? It’s a hands-on role where
you’ll work on the whole project lifecycle, from concepts
and development, to assembly and test. The key is to
understand what officers need and come up with brilliant,
workable ideas. This could involve modifying existing
technology or creating it from scratch. You may even
have the chance to join Met officers out into the field.
You’ll certainly be working both independently and in
project teams.

An experienced Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll have a
