The Barbican pushes the boundaries of all major art forms including dance, film, music theatre and visual arts. The Guildhall School is a World leading conservatoire and drama school, offering musicians, actors, stage managers and theatre technicians an inspiring environment in which to develop as artists and professionals.
Are you a degree qualified mechanical services engineer and a manager, who wants to help these two World Class organisations deliver their objectives by making sure their 8 buildings, including the grade II listed Barbican Centre and state of the art, Milton Court, provide optimal lighting and environmental conditions for performances, exhibitions, lectures and the like? Are you able to ensure that buildings, plant, services and controls are compliant, well maintained and running efficiently at all times? Are you experienced in delivering an energy/sustainability plan and hit challenging reduction targets? Have you previously developed a long term repair and replacement plan for plant and fabric and managed the life-cycle of plant replacement project?
You are a “roll-your-sleeves-up-and get-stuck-in” kind of person, so if you have answered “yes” to all these questions and you are able to line manage a controls engineer and stores person and you can also support and develop a large engineering team of 32 people and a small projects team then we would like to speak to you about this rare, exciting and rewarding opportunity
