Food Manufacturing Engineering Graduate

Who’d have thought that a food business that started more than 165 years ago would be such an exciting place to work!  Make no mistake, here at William Jackson Food Group, we’re proud of our heritage and values, and remain inspired by our founder, but we’re not hanging around in the past, we’re going places.  We’re a family-owned business and our values are very important to us.  We look after our people well.  We respect them, reward commitment and loyalty, encourage talent, recognise achievements and ultimately appreciate their role in our success.

We have some brilliant people working with us across all our businesses, and there’s always room for a few more and at the moment we’re offering an inspirational graduate the chance to gain hands-on experience in the food industry with our new William Jackson Food Group, Food Manufacturing Engineering Graduate scheme.

During the two-year programme you will have two placements each lasting 51 weeks with off-site training between the placements. This variety is important to help you understand the business and how the various departments all work together.  You will be developing your engineering knowledge and skills, gaining invaluable experience in the industry and possibly securing yourself a future with us too.

Our businesses are based nationwide so you need to be mobile and be prepared to be hands on; growing your engineering compliance, industrial services, manufacturing operations, problem solving, engineering projects and maintenance knowledge.  We will also support your continuing professional development by supporting you in gaining your chartered engineering status.

Crucially, your role will be very real and you will have the chance to make a difference.

In return you will get from us:

  • regular personal development meetings
  • access to both on the job training and off site training
  • exposure to our senior leadership teams
  • sharing learning and experience

We would love you to apply especially if you have a relevant degree. You will however be a recent university graduate, or due to graduate in 2018. The closing date for application’s is the 2nd July 2018, we are going to start interviewing in July, with the final selection event taking place in early August, ready for you to start with us in September 2018.
