The Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen to develop and train individuals to internationally recognised standards in a leading edge technology environment. Responsibility to deliver state of the art training methods/courses to the Bolton Manufacturing population.
The Role
  • You will be  involved in the development, progression and training of the apprentice population at the Bolton site
  • You will work in partnership with our offsite Training provider to deliver NVQ qualifications
  • Support through training, the Health & Safety of all employees operating within manufacturing environments in accordance with Company Procedure and current legislation
  • Overall management of Apprentice Programme
  • Certify and recertify operators to the relevant IPC qualification
  • Assess and assist NVQ qualifications for both apprentices and adult learners
  • Conduct all in-house training requirements
  • Update, issue and control of the Skill Matrix
  • Control and Maintenance of all auditable training documentation and records.

What are we looking for?
  • Qualifications and qualities
    • Approved Engineering Apprenticeship, with one of the following criteria:-
    • Vocational G or H Units with Further Education, City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3
    • Vocational TR23 Units with Further Education, ONC or City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3
    • Vocational NVQ3 with Further Education, BTEC ONC/HNC/HND
  • Required behaviours – i.e. “you will have a willing, helpful attitude and a calm professional manner, even when things are changed at the last minute……”
  • Detail focused and meticulous approach
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and adaptable individual able to deal with complex situations
  • Highly developed communication skills: able to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Ability to self-manage the company training requirements
  • Ability to deliver presentation material to supplement training deliverables
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office IT packages (SAP, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power
  • People management skills would be advantageous

Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Candidates using a Range of Methods (A1)
