The Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen in the high-performing Safety, Health & Environment Team within a world-leading defence engineering company. You will help shape the critical safety culture in the organisation to ensure it remains ‘best in class’ in the defence sector for employee safety and well-being.
The Role
To provide Safety Health & Environmental advice and assistance to managers and employees across MBDA UK through the development and implementation of a robust SHE management system that meets with 18001/14001 standards, regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.  The successful candidate will also provide the lead within the SHE team on policy, planning and assurance.

What are we looking for?
  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or similar qualification or working towards completion (level 6 preferred)
  • Membership of relevant professional body (Tech IOSH, Grad IOSH)
  • Internal auditor or lead auditor qualification
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of SHE legislation and its application and interpretation relevant to MBDA operations.
  • Excellent communications skills, ability to translate complex information into easy to understand working text.
