Systems Engineer Mission Planning & Control
Job Details
An opportunity has arisen to join an expanding team delivering Mission Planning and Control products supporting weapon integration onto 4th and 5th generation fighter aircraft.
The Role
- You will be conducting Systems Design activities for and mission planning products that will be delivered in support of the integration of Storm Shadow on to Typhoon
- You will provide key inputs to system integration and testing, leading to product certification
- You will also support the design of training courses and have an input to training materials and delivery to military users
- A typical development life cycle for the Mission Planning products is 2 years, so you will quickly have an opportunity to experience the full product life cycle
- You will take ownership of the production and maintenance of the Project SysML model.
- There are opportunities for travel to MBDA sites in the UK and Europe, and to customer sites around the world
- Multiple development paths, both technical and managerial

What are we looking for?
- Sound understanding of System Engineering Process (including System and Sub-System Specification, System Test and Integration)
- Experience in tools for Requirements Capture and Control (DOORS) and Configuration Management (Dimensions or RTC)
- Experience of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using SysML preferably using Rhapsody
- Ability to communicate and work effectively in a collaborative environment spanning a number of teams and locations
- Excellent communication skills
