The Opportunity
The demand for technology to support and deliver MBDA’s growing business is increasing rapidly. ES is an identified growth area and a new UK resource is required to deliver the demand.
The Information Management’s (IM) Enterprise Services (ES) department is in charge of managing the Company’s cross domain information systems applications;
  • Mobility
  • Analytics
  • Document Record Management (DRM)
  • Intranet
  • Corporate Social Network
  • Collaboration and Enterprise Search at the Group level (UK, FR, IT, DE, ES) and at local level for UK.
     
The Role
Working within the Group ES department and reporting to the Head of ES based in Paris, you will:
  • Lead some ES projects at international and national level
  • Strengthen the presence of the ES team in UK
  • Contribute on innovation activities e.g. deploy Microsoft Power BI for Analytic strategy, deploy new apps on mobile, reduce number of applications, reduce paper process etc.
  • Contribute to business added value activities ie. enhancing application functionality, managing a catalogue service to end users and innovating with new service and functionalities.
  • Ensure the operational delivery of Group and local ES applications to MBDA UK users
 
What will you be doing?
As part of your project activities, you will:
  • Manage UK and International ES projects with respect to cost, schedule and quality.
  • Work with senior customers and end-users to analyse the needs of all MBDA business units (Technical, Production and Support).
  • Be a driving force to propose innovative, effective and efficient solutions.
  • Manage and coordinate the internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and vendors involved in the project.
  • Provide timely reports to project steering committees and control boards.
  • Work at international level with FR, IT and DE countries

As part of the operational support of the applications in production you will:
  • Be responsible for operational service of your ES perimeter in the UK leading service providers and working with other IM Domains to achieve agreed service level agreements.
  • Define and lead the implementation of evolutions to the baseline ES applications.
  • Ensure the ES systems are fully optimised in order to deliver maximal business benefit and value for the users.
You will interface with a range of employee levels from every-day application user to Director plus multidisciplinary delivery teams internally, externally and internationally.

Who and what we are looking for from you?
  • Essential:
  • Experience delivering a range of projects from small change to large transformations.
  • Track record of successful project management – delivering complex projects to time, budget and scope, including stakeholders, finance, risk and issue management.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a multinational environment – specifically Europe – mainly UK, France, Italy, Germany.
  • Demonstrable experience of using a variety of project management methodologies – e.g. Waterfall, Iterative, Agile.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills – capable of engaging at Director level, with users and technical resources.
  • Leadership skills – managing large virtual teams in a matrix organisation including a number of Service Providers and Vendors.
  • Organisational awareness and the ability to adapt behaviours based on a variety of factors.
  • Self-motivated; able to work on own without management in close proximity; self-driven to meet deadlines required by the role.
  • Help shape the future of the team; bring ideas, fresh insights and potentially new ways of working.
  • Be curious, interested and motivated by working on any software implementation project which will provide new features for our 10 000 employees

  • Desirable:
  • Experience of having worked in a geographically spread and multi-cultural organisation having to use a variety of modern communication channels to stay in touch with necessary parties (including Lync/Skype, Video Conferencing).
  • Management and deployment of technologies/applications including: Microsoft Power BI, Mobility, Content management, communication solutions.
  • Contributing on Information system transformation: more digital tools at Group level
