About your role

As part of a highly focused team, you’ll work on exciting new programmes for our Backhoe Loaders. Your responsibilities will depend on your experience and skills, but could involve taking new design concepts through to production; developing vehicle control systems; selecting electrical components; or analysing the performance of safety-related parts of control systems. Whatever role you play day-to-day, you can guarantee that you’ll be working closely with customers both within and outside JCB.

About you

Ideally, you’ll bring at least an HND (or equivalent) in an Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline or Computer Science. You’ll certainly have either a grasp of control system logic, or experience of off highway electronic control systems or machine electrical/electronic systems. Whatever your background, you’ll be able to troubleshoot and fix electrical/electronic/systems faults. And at the same time, you’ll support the team, working flexibly across Electronics and Electrical. If there are gaps in your knowledge, we’ll help you to up-skill. You therefore need to be hands-on, ready to learn and passionate about what you do. We look for adaptable, team-focused people who thrive in fast-paced settings and work with a sense of urgency.
