Field Support Representative

Would you like a highly varied role working within a fast-paced environment? We currently have a vacancy for a Field Service Representative to work on various contracts with our Weapon Systems UK business based at our site in Barrow-in-Furness.

As a Field Service Representative, you will provide customers and the business with technical support, assistance and advice on our products, sub-systems and training equipment.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in a varied role that is interesting, providing the chance for you to work both nationally and internationally.

Your main responsibilities as a Field Support Representative will involve:

Maintaining and establishing the cause of equipment failures and recommending rectification procedures

Operating efficiently to conclude all on- site installations, repair, maintenance and test activities

Expediting the resolution of technical queries and the processing of repairable Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and act as the first level escalation point for Customer concerns

Ensuring all customers contractual commitments are met by the maintenance team under your control

Supporting the business as requested at defence exhibitions around the world; for extended durations if required

Providing support to the Field Support Manager, preparing supporting documentation for bids or requests for quotations

Collaborating with other functional Leads and members of the project organisational structure

Your skills and qualifications as a Field Support Representative:

HND or equivalent qualification within mechanical/electrical engineering

IOSHH Managing Safety Certificate or willingness to work towards

Previous experience as a Fitter with basic fitting skills e.g. filing, heli-coiling, drilling, tapping and grinding

Willingness to travel nationally and internationally which could be for extended periods of time

Previous experience within an Artillery background - desirable
