Explore & Exceed An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as Steelwork Engineer in Barnwood. In this role you will support the steelworks (SW) pilot in the delivery of the SW programme. As part of a team, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering the documentation required to design and substantiate the secondary steel platforms within the Balance of Nuclear Island buildings on the Hinkley Point C project.

Key Accountabilities

Establishing cross-enterprise data intelligence (e.g. EFHs, engine storage plan, exercise plan, etc.) to support tactical Producing steelwork platform designs compliant with the ETC-C, other relevant code Liaising with the building layout and piping teams to coordinate the design Maintaining Edvance's QA procedures in delivering the SW design Working with the CAD designers in the preparation of the design drawings/models and liaising with colleagues in Edvance Managing engineering changes in line with company procedures

Qualifications Degree qualified (or equivalent) in an appropriate technical discipline Experience of structural steel design and experience in the design of seismically qualified steel platforms and structures from concept to detailed design delivery. Experience of using 3D modelling and structural analysis tools Knowledge and understanding of PWRs - considered an asset French language skills would be considered an asset
