Systems Engineer

Would you like to play a key role in design and design maintenance? We currently have a vacancy for a Systems Engineer at our site in Portsmouth.

As a Systems Engineer, you will be Supporting decomposition of User Requirements to sub-system level of requirements, Propose acceptance strategies in order to allow the SDA to sell off requirements at all system levels and will undertake design and design maintenance tasks in respect of new products and/or technology insertion into legacy products, under guidance from the Systems Design Authority.

Your main responsibilities as a Systems Engineer will involve:

You will provide information and design input to enable the Systems Design Authority

You will be capable of undertaking a 'system of systems' approach to analysis, design, test and integration between a mixture of synthetic and GFE equipment

Liaising with internal and external organisations including sub-contractors where required and production of appropriate procurement specifications.

Supporting bid solution design and estimating

Prototyping of proposed solutions

Your skills and qualifications:

Expertise in Systems Design or Software Design

Previous experience or exposure to system integration

Knowledge of electrical regulations, fire detection/suppression systems and HVAC systems is desirable but not essential
