The Principle Waste Consultant will be responsible for providing detailed technical knowledge on all Radiological Waste.  Initially based at Harwell, you be assigned as Senior Project Waste Engineer on the Nuclear Materials Project and will have enhanced knowledge of, and advise on, all technical waste challenges, as well as providing leadership in relation to resourcing, planning and scheduling.  A recognised authority within the Waste Function you will contribute to the effective development and successful delivery of the Magnox Waste Programme, analysing potential safety risks and implications to ensure the programme is fully compliant with Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies and procedures.

To succeed in this challenging and progressive role you must have relevant technical waste and project management experience and be familiar with environment issues including practices, policies and legislation gained within a nuclear environment.  A track record of managing projects combined with an ability to evaluate and communicate technical data is essential.  You will be a calm, measured, supportive individual who can inspire and develop strong working relationships within the organisation.
