Waste Strategy & Permissioning Manager you will be responsible for the formation and management of the overall waste strategy across the Magnox organisation, along with the supporting technical basis and arrangements to ensure that delivery of compliant, cost effective waste disposals can be achieved.  In this detailed and intricate role, you will provide subject matter expertise to ensure the disposability criteria, transportation and storage of all site waste is consistent with the Company’s waste management strategy, and where required Letters of Compliance are secured in a timely manner to support the overall programme.

You will be a confident individual who has the credibility and technical capabilities to liaise with and influence stakeholders within Magnox, the wider NDA estate and a range of external organisations. You will be a decisive operator who is able to prioritise and manage different tensions within programmes and possess the ability to pre-empt and overcome risks which could impact the waste management strategy, ensuring successful outcomes.  Extensive experience and knowledge of waste accounting, packaging, transport and disposal are necessary for this varied and interesting role, combined with significant project delivery experience gained within a highly regulated environment.
