Shared Infrastructure Hardware Product Manager

Would you like to play a key role in the management of the Shared Infrastructure product across multiple projects? We currently have a vacancy for a Shared Infrastructure Hardware Product Manager at our site in New Malden.

As a Shared Infrastructure Hardware Product Manager, you will be undertaking the management of a defined range of SI hardware activities, in line with all relevant processes and quality requirements; managing a team of significant size, in a complex organisation.

This role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to be involved in some of the most complex engineering projects in the UK, including the management of shared infrastructure hardware team who will be working on the next generation of naval platforms, Type 26 Global Combat Ships.

Your main responsibilities as a Shared Infrastructure Hardware Product Manager will involve:

Managing the Shared Infrastructure Hardware Team on a daily basis

Being responsible for reporting on activities, over-seeing tasks, looking for commonality of approach, understanding dependencies and issues

Dealing with the financial tracking and reporting of activities being undertaken by the team

Managing of team resources and forward planning. The role will require management of resources within a matrix organisation, with conflicting needs and timescales

Supporting the production of training plans and overseeing the general development of members of the team

Your skills and qualifications as a Shared Infrastructure Hardware Product Manager

Essential:

Ability to operate in a large, complex multi-project environment

Managerial experience

Experience of managing and planning resource usage

Desirable:

Application of Earned Value Management techniques to monitor progress & evidence of having applied the results of EV to inform the management decision making process

Experience of delivering systems, working to deadlines and working in a pressurised environment
