Calibration / Metrology Engineer

Would you like to be a part of a proactive conscientious team supporting Operations, by managing and completing Calibration and Metrology activities? We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Calibration/Metrology Engineer at our site in Rochester.

As a Calibration/Metrology Engineer, you will be reporting to the Operations Quality Manager, the activities shall be carried out in accordance with company processes and procedures, ensuring traceability back to National standards.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to travel globally to calibrate different equipment. There is scope for career progression and you will be fully supported with your development within BAE.

Your main responsibilities will involve:

Working as a fully contributing member of the Calibration team

Undertaking routine Calibrations of electrical and Mechanical Test Equipment

Undertaking routine Calibrations of general tooling

Carrying out planned routine maintenance activities

Carrying out non routine repair activities down to component level and offer general technical support to Operations

Raising company non-conformance paperwork

Understanding Supplier/Subcontractor traceability and Calibration processes

Performing Continuous Improvement activities

Your skills and qualifications:

Previous experience of fault finding, repairing and testing electrical or mechanical equipment

Calibration / Metrology background

Stakeholder engagement experience

Minimum ONC in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

Competent in the use of MS Office package
