Combat Systems Security Architect

Would you like to play a pivotal role in designing and delivering innovative product security solutions for our latest Royal Navy warship programme? If so we currently have a requirement for a Security Architect at our site in Filton, Bristol.

As the Type 26 Security Architect, you will be responsible for ensuring Combat Systems product security during the build programme, particulalry relating to security architecture and technical solutions. This will include developing security policies and processes, liaising with the DAIS (Defence Assurance and Information Security) Accreditor and suppliers. You will also be producing documentation such as RMADS (Risk Management Accreditation Document Set) as well running and documenting security working groups.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with the MOD customer across a wide variety of contracts in both size and scale

Your main responsibilities as a Type 26 Security Architect will involve:

Leading on the Security architecture and technical solutions, ensuring that the solutions are suitably secure and acceptable to the accreditor

Liaising with the MoD accreditor(s) and suppliers to manage expectations and ensure that security requirements are met and risk is reduced to acceptable level

Ensuring project security is in place between partnering companies and agreed by key security stakeholders

Leading on all Security software issues and represents Security on the Software Assurance Council

Responsible for the Cardinal RMADS and overseeing all Security documentation

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential

Security architecture and Network implementation knowledge

Ability to shape a technology architecture solution and produce security architecture

Security accreditation or ISO27001 Certification or equivalent essential

Experience of or working in information security/information assurance

Desirable

Defence or UK Government experience in the area of information security or information assurance

NCSC/CCP Security Information Risk Advisor (SIRA) Role at practitioner or higher

Ex-CESG Listed Advisor Scheme (CLAS) Consultant

CISSP or other recognised security qualifications

You will demonstrate strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships. You will need to be able to influence multiple stakeholders and interact confidently with senior management. Strong problem solving skills are key to the success of this role.

Location: Filton (other combat systems sites may be considered for the ideal candidate)
