Senior Operations Engineer

Would you like to be part of a team that is undergoing extensive redevelopment and expansion? This role will see you on the front line of our Site and Facilities team. We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Operations Engineer at our site in Barrow.

As a Senior Operations Engineer, you will be Maintaining and updating the departmental training plan and database, liaising with all levels of the department to support the management team. SAP super user in material management creation and spot buy process and review of budget reports.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to liaise with the majority of Site Functions depending on where the demand is placed. You will liaise with external stakeholders, service suppliers.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Operations Engineer will involve:

Maintaining and updating the departmental training plan of up to 190 people, by liaising with all trade team leaders within the department, providing support in engaging courses

Supporting the management team in the production/analysis/delivery of various types of reports including HS&E, Auditing and internal Project reports.

Assisting with material management/procurement of spot buys

Managing the of department financial and commercial controls/records

Providing practical support and guidance to trainees and other members of the department when required

Customer management - one to one liaison, setting expectations

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential Skills

Strong stakeholder engagement, comfortable working at all levels across all functions

Highly Skilled in the use of standard Microsoft packages especially excel

Reporting & Data Management

Working knowledge SAP material management and work order management

Ability to co-ordinate small projects

Desirable Skills

Knowledge of process instructions and reports

Use initiative to solve problems and fact find

Experience in maintenance or engineering

Salary: £ 31,257 DOE
