Salary: £17,000, with six monthly increments dependent on achievement of development plan

The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to develop a career in Manufacturing Logistics and Planning on an 18 month training program. This new position within the logistics and planning team comes with the opportunity to complete an NVQ. The right candidate is someone that can think on their feet, is confident with people and has skills in planning and organising work.
 
The Role
The Manufacturing Support Trainee is a role working within a the manufacturing team at our live build facility for final assembly, integration and test of our portfolio of missiles. This is an exciting working environment where multiple projects run concurrently through the manufacturing facility. The role will be focused on expediting material, orders and tools to support manufacturing operations. Tasks will be assigned to you via the logistics team and manufacturing team leader. Many fundamental key skills of manufacturing will be obtained from this support role whose main aim is to make each manufacturing work cell production ready. This is an important support role within the manufacturing team that is key to the effective execution of our company business plan for delivery of operational missiles to our end customers.

What are we looking for?
  • Ideally 5 GCSE’s  including Maths and English or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift moderate weight items and ability to follow safety procedures.
  • Ability to communicate well.
  • Be competent at Microsoft Excel, Outlook (e-mail), PowerPoint and Word.
  • Be punctual and on-time with a thirst to learn.
  • Show initiative and be self-sufficient when carrying out tasks.
  • Interpret tasks they have been assigned accurately.
  • Have a problem solving, can-do attitude.
  • Be a team player.
