Applicants should hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and, ideally, a PhD and a higher education teaching qualification or professional recognition; please see the job descriptions and person specifications for the specific duties and criteria for TF and STF levels. The Department has a strong record in both research and teaching and close collaborations with industry. 91% of its research activity was graded as either world leading or internationally excellent in the Research Excellence Framework 2014 and it is consistently very highly placed in the National Student Survey.

In addition to a full CV, applicants must provide a separate teaching statement of up to 4 pages to cover their teaching background and experience, and/or relevant industrial design experience. Details of our two GDBP modules and the other modules offered by the Department can be found at http://www.bath.ac.uk/catalogues/2018-2019/ee/EE-units.html.

The post-holder will join a successful and expanding department and benefit from the peer support of a large group of Early Career Researchers, in additional to senior staff. The University of Bath is based on an attractive campus on the edge of the World Heritage City of Bath and offers the lifestyle advantages of working and living in one of the most beautiful areas in the country.

Prior to drawing up a shortlist, potential candidates may be invited to give a Skype presentation on their teaching interests.
