The Cyber and Information Security Team play a critical role in supporting MBDA’s fast-developing business. Leading the company’s cyber defence strategy and driving information security consultancy across all departments, this role presents an excellent opportunity to excel at senior level and to help shape the company’s future. With a pragmatic and business-focused approach, the Cyber and Information Security Manager will help steer the company in managing its cyber risks and meeting its customers’ requirements.
The Role
- Leading the development of cyber and information security policies and good practice.
- Steering the company towards constantly improving cyber health and exploiting opportunities for improvement.
- Sharing professional expertise in the UK and abroad and acting as a key focal point for guidance on the management of cyber and information security risk.
- Working with teams of all kinds in order to help them achieve excellence in product delivery.

What are we looking for? - With a minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in the cyber and information security field, you will be familiar with introducing governance regimes and risk management to large, diverse organisations.
- Educated to degree level, or with equivalent professional experience, you will have attained a broad understanding of technology principles and a thorough grasp of methods used to identify and manage cyber and information security risks.
- With a track record of success in the cyber and information security field, you will be able to show how you have led teams to overcome challenges and to reach pragmatic solutions.
- Candidates should enjoy working across differing specialised areas, but they should also be willing to defend security principles when necessary, sometimes against majority opposition.
- It is desirable that candidates should hold CISSP, CISM and/or CISA certifications, but equivalent experience will also be considered.
