Integration Engineer

Would you like to Study, develop and integrate equipment simulations for the Maritime Composite Training System (MCTS) to provide shore based Warfare Operator Training for Frigates, Destroyers and other major warships? We currently have a vacancy for an Integration Engineer at our site at our sites in Collingwood and Plymouth.

As an Integration Engineer, you will be Lead MCTS Interoperability events with UK and Non-UK (International) based partners.

This role will provide you with Study and evolve MCTS to support future capability demonstrations, integration facilities and training initiatives. You will require some UK travel to the two Royal Navy purpose built facilities, HMS Collingwood and HMNB Devonport.

Your main responsibilities as an Integration Engineer will involve:

Integrate BAE Systems and third party equipment hosted within a synthetic environment at BAE Systems and Customer sites

Technically lead Interoperability events for Joint and Combined Exercises

Provide specialist expertise; develop creative and innovative solutions, utilise fault finding and analysis skills in support of product development and enhanced product performance

Investigate and implement systems infrastructure and software solutions using a variety of languages including C++, C#, Ada 83/95

Provide technical support to site service delivery teams to maintain system availability

Deploy and support the deployment of MCTS and MCTS based systems at BAE Systems and Customer sites

Support acceptance activities at BAE Systems and Customer sites

Define and review requirements for systems and software work packages

Design and support the design of systems and software work packages

Study and support Bid work including report writing, presenting and estimating

Your skills and qualifications:

Ability to develop and integrate systems and software within a large multi-site facility.

Working experience of systems and software development using a variety of software languages (C# , AIDA, C++, script

Networking protocol/hardware knowledge

Working experience of virtualisation would be advantageous but is not essential

Firmware experience

Self starter, communication skills, problem solving, pro-active, think outside the box, stakeholder management, flexible attitude as the support of interoperability events will require working non- standard hours for a periods of approximately 2-3 weeks.
