As a Combat Systems Engineer - Physical Integration, you will play a key role in the conduct of the overall Combat Systems system physical integration design activities; ensuring compliance of the Combat Systems Physical Integration Design process with the Warship Engineering Management Plan (EMP), traceability to the defined requirement and overall consistency within the Warship. You will ratify and assure the availability of the Combat Systems Physical installation data and constraints for the Platform Integrated Project Team and undertake physical integration design of the Combat Systems and its compartments and support Topside Layout
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on a unique range of products and programmes, including National and International shipbuild programmes with a wide and varied stakeholder base.
Your main responsibilities as a Combat Systems Engineer - Physical Integration will involve:
Deliver a package of engineering work, with the development of best practice to increase the capability, performance of tools and processes
Participate in Technical reviews of the Combat Systems Physical Integration Design products and deliverables
Work with the Combat Systems Engineering Managers and Technical Leaders to evolve the physical integration design within the overall cost and schedule constraints
Monitoring the deign process and advising of shortfalls against the Warship EMP and physical integration process plans
Your skills and qualifications as a Combat Systems Engineer - Physical Integration:
Understanding of combat systems design or operations is essential
Relevant engineering degree or qualified to HNC/HND standard with relevant work experience in support or equivalent experience
Ship build experience would be an advantage
FORAN or similar programme experience beneficial
