The Opportunity
MBDA is a leading player in Weapons Systems design and manufacture, with over 45 Missile Systems in operational service, around the globe.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Product Assurance team, playing a key role in ensuring our products are being produced to the highest standard.
Your mission is to identify, manage and implement change programmes & initiatives to improve Operational Effectiveness across the UK Complex Weapons portfolio.   Your key responsibilities are to:
  • Drive improvements to Non-conformance management
  • Establish lean processes for a UK Rapid development manufacturing capability
  • Improve and maintain a “Through Life Enabling Contract” standardisation process
  • Improve the effectiveness of the UK Product Alert Process
  • Analysis of data/key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvements & lead multinational improvement programmes.
 
To achieve this, you will be required to:
  • Interface with the UK MoD
  • Provide effective governance of UK Customer Deficiencies & Customer Quality Complaints
  • Establish more effective/efficient ways of operating
  • Establish and maintain the Portfolio Joint Quality Management Plan
  • Assure the implementation of processes
  • Establish business case/cost benefit analyses for new initiatives
  • Manage overall consolidation Work Load Forecast for the Product Assurance team
  • Be the MBDA UK Quality representative on key Industry/MoD Working Groups.
  • Manage 2nd Party audits & questionnaires including DAOS (Design Approved Organisation Scheme)
  • Manage UK Alerts
  • Manage TLEC Standards Governance Panel.

Ideally you will be a Blackbelt Six Sigma with significant experience of delivering improvements to business operations & Management Systems. You will have
  • Ability to identify & drive change
  • Project experience across a product life-cycle
  • Good understanding of Business Management Tools
  • Degree/HND level education
  • Ability to work within an international environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Autonomy, good organisation skills
