EA Technology is embracing the challenges faced by the electricity distribution industry in the UK and globally. Our industry experts are leading the way in technical and business transformation analysis to allow for the cost-effective integration of distributed energy resources (such as small-scale generation and electric vehicles) to the grid and in assisting our clients in the transition from Distribution Network Operator to Distribution System Operator.
We are actively engaged in interpreting the technical, commercial and regulatory challenges associated with the evolving requirements of electricity distribution businesses and have delivered flagship projects in the UK and overseas including multi-stakeholder projects in Australia, New Zealand and Brazil.
We are growing our Network Strategy & Transformation team and are seeking consultants at a range of grades to deliver a portfolio of projects to our UK and international clients.
The successful candidates must have an excellent technical understanding of smart grids, network management, or business models and regulation in the electrical utilities sector. An aptitude for business development is desirable. Successful candidates are likely to have DNO or similar electrical network experience. We are happy to recruit part time applicants with the right skill set.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing and delivering projects
- On time
- Within budget
- To the required quality
- Ensuring Customer Satisfaction
- Understand customer needs and ensuring we meet their expectations
- Develop technical proposals and pursue business development activities
- Provide technical advice to the Group
The successful candidates must have:
- Experience within the electricity industry is essential, preferably within a DNO, large industrial or related Consultancy
- Excellent communication, including report writing and presentation skills
- Project management experience including planning delivery and monitoring of progress
- Strong business acquisition skills and customer focus
- Knowledge of electricity distribution/transmission networks in terms of either their planning, operation or regulation
You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) preferably chartered, able to work effectively in a team environment promoting effective cooperation, commitment and team working. Be Self-motivated and enthusiastic about your work showing initiative and flexibility.
