Software Development Engineering Lead

Would you like to work within a thriving market facing Information Systems & Services Department as an Software Development Engineering Lead?

The successful candidate will lead and supervise a team to provide expert Information Systems (IS) Design tooling, processes and assurance to the IS Competency Centres who complete the building of our integrated business and customer Information Services (Apps), including all Business Analytics.

These services being made available across the Enterprise (From Royal Navy vessels through to the support chain) ensuring product safety, information security and veracity are assured.

Your main responsibilities will involve:

Developing, implementing and executing the delivery plan for the Competency Centres (Integration and Business Solutions(Apps & Analytics)) within the IS&S Team

Ensure veracity of the development plans, including all tasks materiels necessary for delivery and integration of capabilities are factored into the Sprint control processes

Accountable for sprint control, management and improvement in both efficiency and planning.

Delivery of Systems Integration testing prior to delivery of all services to customers.

Delivery of Automated Testing capability

Accountable for the delivery and update of the DevOps capability for the environments in use.

Accountable for the delivery Engineering Assurance processes through the Competency Centres, including Audit.

Management (release) of Impedence between and within the Competency Centres.

Your skills and qualifications:

Expert Knowledge of Systems engineering and development incl. Data Mgt, analytics, ESB orchestration, MDM and application integration

Knowledge of Systems testing and deployment

Proven track record in managing a test team

Knowledge of the Agile Methodology of Software development culture and methodology
