We currently have vacancies for Principal Systems Engineer, Principal Systems Engineer and Systems Engineers at our sites in New Malden, Broad Oak, Dorchester or Frimley

As a Systems Engineer, you will be performing a range of systems engineering tasks to ensure that the overall system will behave according to its functional & non-functional requirements. You will be required to demonstrate key technical skills and be able to communicate strongly both verbally and in writing to management and peers.

In return, this role will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills further within a supportive team environment.

Your main responsibilities as a Systems Engineer will involve:

Contributing to the elaboration and agreement of system requirements understanding the change in system capability against an established design baseline

Analysing Date Exchange Specifications using their content to elaborate systems requirements and to direct system design.

Supporting the development of design specifications under guidance and carry out design activities in line with specifications and all quality and technical standards.

Participating in the development, maintenance and modifying of the engineering processes and procedures in assigned areas in response to technical developments and operational need.

Carrying out technical analyses and investigations, including evaluation and selection of technical options, and prepare reports with suggested recommendations to support the design of improvements.

Contribute to process improvement within the operational and/or engineering team to deliver continuous improvements in quality, cycle time and asset utilisation.

Support liaison with customers and/or suppliers in assigned areas on engineering matters.

You will have strong communication skills and be able to build good working relationships with both management and your team. A positive attitude and the ability to problem solve is key to this role.

Combat Systems

We design, develop, integrate and provide through-life support to naval combat systems that enable navies to protect nations. Vital information from ship sensors such as radar and sonar, are captured through our core product, the Combat Management System.
