Would you like to work in a key role within the Underwater Weapons team? We currently have a vacancy for an Engineering Manager at our site in Broad Oak.

As an Engineering Manager you will provide the overall day to day Engineering Management of the multi-skill TCC Test Equipment Engineering team for Underwater Weapons. This role demands the capability to understand and resolve Engineering Support Issues, including schedule, workload and financial challenges.

Your main responsibilities as an Engineering Manager will involve:

Recruiting, allocate and manage staff and facilities in order to provide competent and professional Engineering Services against TCC project budgets to meet project objectives.

Ensuring that all work is undertaken by the team in accordance with processes defined in conformance with relevant Company, Project, National and International Standards and Procedures.

Providing costed proposals for future work in response to agreed requirements identified by bid managers.

Working in collaboration with the Functional Managers in the development of staff within the group through the provision of appropriate training and coaching, such that they are enabled to achieve business objectives effectively and to fulfil their own potential.

Actively supporting the maintenance of the Design Integrity of the Spearfish and Sting Ray Test equipment and associated manufacturing systems.

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential skills

Chartered Engineer or equivalent experience

Knowledge of the complete Engineering Lifecycle with experience of operating acrsoss all phases.

The capability to understand and resolve Engineering Support issues, including schedule, workload and financial challenges.

Will have team management experience of 10+ employees

Desirable skills

Understanding of BAE's systems and processes

Understands the technical specification of the Sting Ray product and how the different engineering functional areas integrate into the product

Knowledge, experience and understanding of working in the Underwater Weapons domain with other related areas of the business to achieve project and business objectives.
