Job Details

The Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation Team Leader (MEICA) is responsible for leading and managing a specialised group of mechanical and electrical engineers. The Team Leader is accountable for the quality and delivery of specialist MEICA works by this team. Following our recent ISO55001 accreditation, we are working closely with external contractors to develop a world class asset management organisation. 
The role is also responsible for assuring standards, monitoring the quality and advising on the requirements to meet specialist MEICA technical, safety, legal, environmental and operational requirements across the geographic areas covering a very diverse range of assets. The MEICA team also work with the wider business to deliver a large programme of repairs and maintenance to assets through contractors
As a Supra Area Meica Team Leader you will also be part of a national network of peers and national assurance teams. An ability to work with and contribute to these virtual teams is vital. 
Travel between different offices across the South East of England and occasionally across the country is required. A lease car is provided.

The team  

The SE MEICA (West) team is a new pan-area team, of approximately 13 staff, covering Thames and the Solent and South Downs Areas. The team is based in a number of offices across the two Areas. We manage, maintain and modify all mechanical and electrical equipment on behalf of the asset owners, working closely with our internal partners and framework contractors. We work very closely with the SE MEICA (East) team.

Experience/skills required  

We are looking for someone who has relevant leadership experience. In addition you must understand, and be able to communicate, the important issues in the management of MEICA assets. 
You will be an experienced line manager with a MEICA engineering background. This experience will be gained through a combination of formal qualifications and experience.

A working knowledge of MEICA asset management systems, such as computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) will be an advantage. You will also be a professionally recognised mechanical or electrical engineer holding either Chartered or Incorporated status. 

You should also be able to demonstrate relevant experience in the following areas:-

• Incident Management
