The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced BMS engineer/controller with strong technical knowledge of BMS. You will be joining a fast moving and passionate in house FM team supporting a successful and expanding aerospace company.
 
The Role
  • Creating and implementing BMS change control processes across UK estates to support UK Energy Manager’s vision for configuration control governance
     
  • Proactive monitoring of BMS and acting as first line response (change of set points, time schedules & general fault observations)
     
  • Devising reporting matrices in partnership with UK Energy Manager and then provide consistent, regular & accurate reporting on BMS performance & adds/deletes/changes
     
  • Providing expert advice to the internal client FM team and suppliers.
     
  • Creation of requirement specifications for BMS works on facilities projects.
     
  • Compiling recommendations on BMS improvements or innovations, including justifications and tangible and financial business cases
     
  • Sustaining & improving building operations
     
  • Optimising plant performance, stabilising building environments, cost optimization & reducing capital replacement cost
     
  • Supporting UK achieving MBDA 2020-2025 CSR Group challenge & implementation of ISO 50001
     
  • Analysis of proposed new works and implementation via management of suppliers and self-delivery where appropriate.

  • You must have a structured and organised approach to your work
  • You must have significant experience of BMS systems (Trend, Cylon, Siemens, Schneider Electric)
  • Excellent M&E knowledge You must be able to manage contractor activities
  • You will need Innovative problem-solving skills
  • You will need strong written, verbal skills
  • You must be able to use word, excel
  • Ability to adapt to changing workload with autonomy and resilience
  • Demonstrate a positive, proactive approach with a can-do attitude
