Senior Project Professional (Delivery Stream)
An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Professional (Delivery Stream) to join our Project Management Function at Weapon Systems UK at our site in Barrow-in-Furness.
You will report directly to the Project Manager and support the function in the achievement of its key objectives of safety, quality, delivery, cost and people.
UK and International travel may be required
Your main responsibilities as a Senior Project Professional (Delivery Stream) will involve:
Ensure all projects are managed and delivered safely in accordance with WSUK SHE policies, BAE Systems Operational Framework and Life Cycle Management (LCM) mandates
Apply Project Management processes and methodologies across a spectrum of Sustainment Contracts, Platforms and Customers
Develop a good understanding of, and adhere to, the appropriate contractual quality requirements
Defining, executing and planning contractual deliverables on time and to budget
Support and deputise for the Project Manager as required, which could include chairing multifunctional meetings, IPTs and provide representation at customer review meetings
Capture, produce and present minutes, action trackers and schedules and ensure timely execution of contractual requirements. Ensuring contracts are delivered in accordance with the business LCM model and processes, and to time, safety, cost and quality
Working with Customers, key stakeholders and other functions to ensure timely execution of contractual requirements
Identifying and analysing potential schedule issues and proposing and implementing corrective solutions
Producing metrics and reports to demonstrate performance against contract and customer requirements
Your skills and qualifications:
ONC or Higher (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (i.e.: Engineering, Project Management, Business)
Experience in managing activities and change across functional disciplines
Understanding and experience of Life Cycle Management
Proficient in using Microsoft packages - i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project
Experience in building and presenting reports, this includes collating and manipulating data
Experience in working with a broad range of customers and delivering excellent Customer satisfaction
Ability to introduce new methods of working and processes to the benefit of the programme, Business and our Customers
SAP experience is advantageous

Salary: £34,708 +
