Maintenance Electrician

Would you like to support business critical equipment associated with the development, test and production of aircraft products and systems? We currently have a vacancy for a Maintenance Electrician at our site in Samlesbury or Warton.

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability and performance of plant and equipment, diagnosing and repairing faults whilst taking a pro-active approach to solving any general electrical problems that may occur.

This role will provide you with chance to work on a wide variety of work with real opportunities for development within this team.

Your main responsibilities as a Maintenance Electrician will involve:

Ensuring that the electrical aspects of all production critical plant and equipment at our Warton / Samlesbury site are maintained to maximise availability and minimise deterioration

Working safely at all times, complying with health and safety and other relevant regulations and guidelines

Carrying out Planned Maintenance / fault finding diagnosis and repair of plant and equipment

Recording details of breakdowns where necessary for future analysis

Ensuring that all work carried out to effect repair of complete equipment or discrete part is logged in line with current maintenance requirements

Working in a multi-disciplined group to optimise group performance

Your skills and qualifications as a Maintenance Electrician:

Electrical Apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent with experience within a relevant electrical discipline

Knowledge of 17th / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

Knowledge and experience of fault finding of 3 phase power, electrical control systems and PLC control systems

Knowledge of instrumentation control (PID, Temp, Pressure etc)

Ability to read electrical schematic drawings
