Royal Navy / MOD Customer Solutions Lead

We have an opportunity for a keen and ambitious defence consultant to join our growing IS&S team in Bristol as a Royal Navy / MOD Customer Solutions Lead.

This role would ideally suit someone who understands the operational requirements and business drivers across the RN / MOD. The successful candidate will use their experience in the defence industry to strategically position BAE, conduct stakeholder management and grow opportunities for our products and services in strategic accounts. You will also support our sister companies within BAE Systems who already prosecute business within these sectors. A significant part of the role is developing and managing an emerging pipeline of business.

The role will involve managing accounts through their lifecycle, developing existing accounts and new prospective clients, understanding competitors, monitoring the market using their pre-existing network in the defence industry.

Your main responsibilities will involve:

Using your current/relevant experience of the working and organisational structures across the MOD, identify and qualify opportunities to generate growth

Creating and managing a through life Account plan for a strategic customer account or group of accounts within the Maritime Market Sector

Creating detailed monthly plans that will deliver the growth and activity required to meet the business targets

Identifying and target revenue potential within your accounts/market sector

Building a detailed understanding of the customers, markets and competitors

Making BAES Systems the supplier of choice for value added information services

Supporting the development of business planning

Forecasting and Delivery of order intake

Your skills and qualifications:

Strong stakeholder management capabilities in both a customer and internal business environment

Good understanding of the defence & adjacent/similar industries

A proven track record in delivering profitable sales growth

Experience of compiling, analysis and reporting to senior management

A track record in the UK Defence Market and in particular the Royal Navy would be highly desirable
