Process Engineer Micro & Nano Systems

Would you like to be a part of the BAE Systems Advanced Technology Solutions organisation? We currently have a vacancy for a Process Engineer Micro & Nano Systems at our site in Filton, Bristol.

As a Process Engineer Micro & Nano Systems, you will be part of the expanding team responsible for conducting research into novel and innovative materials that often operate in challenging environments.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to join a dynamic and focussed team working at the forefront of micro and nano materials and systems technology.

Your main responsibilities as a Process Engineer Micro & Nano Systems will involve:

Drafting technical reports, test procedures, process specifications and other product documentation

Carrying out operational activities in Laboratory / Workshop facilities to manufacture bespoke parts, components, jigs and fixtures

Liaising with the SHE Team - to comply with and maintain Laboratory and Workshop Standards

Liaising with internal stakeholders

Your skills and qualifications as a Process Engineer Micro & Nano Systems:

Essential:

Knowledge and skills in operating workshop equipment and processing products - Mould tools, jigs, fixtures

Experience operating bespoke cleanroom environment equipment e.g. Wire Bonder, Wafer Saw, or a willingness to learn

Experience of paint/coating spray and processing, or a willingness to learn

Microsoft Office Skills

Desirable:

HND/HNC/BTEC qualification

Knowledge and experience of CAD software

What we're looking for in you:

You will have strong communication skills - written and verbal - alongside good attention to detail. You will be able to identify problems/obstacles/opportunities and take the relevant action and are confident working under pressure without close supervision.

Location: Filton, Bristol

Salary: £28,000+
