Job Details

Having revolutionised the online grocery shopping market, Ocado is now engaging in exciting new business opportunities, implementing innovative fully automated warehouses for clients around the world.

Excitingly, we are now actively looking for a Solutions Designer to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for either a graduate within engineering, design or similar STEM background or for someone who is currently working in Operations at junior management level. No formal design experience is needed but you must have a creative flair and a passion for developing effective solutions within a fast paced environment.

Being part of our journey to develop and design warehouse solutions for our clients will give you the opportunity to develop new concepts and operational designs with your team understanding all aspects of sizing and capacity, business requirements and layout of the site. You will experience collaboration with other teams across the business and gain exposure of communicating with both internal & external stakeholders.

In this position you will be using operational metrics and assumptions to analyse and model requirements of a design which means that you must be comfortable using Excel and have good numerical and analytical skills.

In return, you will gain the opportunity to focus and fast track your career in design solutions with a rapidly growing FTSE 100 business that offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

Company

Ocado was established in the UK over 16 years ago and listed on the London Stock Exchange in July 2010. We are the world’s largest dedicated online grocery retailer with over 580,000 active customers shopping with us today. Our objective is to provide our customers with the best shopping experience in terms of service, range and price, which builds a strong business and delivers long term value for our shareholders.

We have developed a unique end-to-end operating solution for online grocery retail based on proprietary technology and IP, suitable for operating our own business and those of our commercial partners.

The world is changing fast, driven by different shopping habits and ever more advanced technology for the consumer. Grocery is the largest of all retail segments and is moving online.
