This is an exciting opportunity in a fast moving, unique, multi-national Information Management function leading the team defining, developing and managing the implementation of Client technologies, services and applications within our business.
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience of Client device technologies, applications and their deployment methodologies e.g. device build & business application deployment
- Successfully lead a team, solutions & projects from inception (Business Requirements) to completion (Hand Over To Support / Lessons learnt) and at all times keeping to schedule, quality and cost
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft technologies, client device tools processes and cycles and a reasonable working knowledge of Linux
- Being able to conceptualise and document an outline technical solution or direction to meet a set of business requirements
- Have broad understanding & solid knowledge of current & emerging technologies and how they can be harnessed to the benefit of our business.
- Be self-motivating, highly organised and a good multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to research and evaluate complex Business & technical requests including key InfoSec issues
- Demonstrate ability to provide high-level requirements documents for third party suppliers to supply detailed designed solutions.
- You must be an effective, influencing and consistent communicator
- Be attentive to detail and understand their impacts on the project, business or solution
- Manage change and its consequences to the benefit of our Business
- Being able to develop & maintain trusting and honest relationship with internal and external stakeholders
- Have commitment and pride in your work, your team and our Business
- Be able to work in National and International teams, have understanding of cultural difference and their impact on Business, solutions and projects.

The Role
- Manage and be responsible for the definition, design and deployment of Client technologies, services and applications delivering these from inspection into Hand Over to Support.
- Creation of & management of National & Group where applicable technical roadmaps & solutions related to the client device estate e.g. PC clients, mobile devices and associated infrastructure application deployment technologies for medium / long term planning purposes.
- Manage, produce and review as appropriate for business & technical requirements / definitions / solutions for client devices, services, hardware and software (operating systems & applications)e.g. device builds, compatibility of core prerequisites e.g. JAVA and application deployment methodologies
- Actively participate in the development of Innovation strategies & proposal within the function.This should encompass ideas, concepts and innovations from within the team, our customers and I.T. partners
- Motivate, develop and manage the Client Services team to deliver and maintain effective, efficient & reliable solutions & Services.
