Hardware Team Leader

As a Hardware Team Leader, you will lead a team of highly skilled and experienced hardware engineers responsible for the design lifecycle of our electronic solutions for cutting-edge products such as Helmet Mounted & Head-Up Displays, Mission Computers, Flight Controls, Active Inceptors and other associated safety critical technology.

Your main responsibilities as a Hardware Team Leader will involve:

Managing and technical leadership of an electronics design team

Managing Work Packages; cost, schedule, risk & opportunities

Ensuring development programme execution in accordance with the hardware development plan

Providing technical governance and ensuring adherence to company design processes

Leading cost & performance trade-offs

Your skills and qualifications as a Hardware Team Leader:

Able to demonstrate high performance and achievement in leadership and management of engineering teams through a full product development lifecycle

Proven experience / knowledge of cost and planning management tools

Proven experience / knowledge of risk and opportunities management

Experience of optimising solutions and minimising impacts from dependencies

Experience of design and identifying improvements to working practices and team skill development

Proven understanding of product design and work package control

Working knowledge of the following tools would be advantageous:

Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise;

Requirements management tools, e.g. DOORS

Work package management tools, eg. MSP, JIRA, etc.
