Electronic Design Engineer

The Company:

WIKA Instruments Limited is the UK subsidiary of the world’s leading manufacturer of pressure, temperature, level, flow and related calibration instruments. Our level division based in Swanley, Kent, predominantly supplies products to the Oil and Gas industry and is looking to expand its portfolio of liquid level measuring devices.

The Role:  

We are looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to join our engineering team and be involved in the design and development of one of our existing products within our product range.

Daily Duties: 

Involvement in design activities from concept to production including customer support. Designs are microcontroller based with the necessary analogue components for user interface.

Our Expectations from you:

Degree qualified in electronics or a closely related field. Minimum of three years’ experience in similar roles preferably in the sensor or industrial electronics field. An understanding of the processes and best practice to support a product development lifecycle including the drawings and documentation required for product approvals and certification.

Additional desirable skills including an understanding of regulatory requirements for products used in potentially explosive atmospheres (ATEX) and functional safety (IEC 61508), Firmware development in ‘C’, EMC testing with external test houses.
