We currently have a vacancy for an Engineering and Governance Engineer to work as part of the Facilities Management Engineering and Governance team based at our site in Warton.

As a Facilities Management Engineering Governance Engineer you will have responsibilities across a number of significant UK sites. Advising on all aspects of engineering health and safety and ensuring the highest level of Safety Management is attained in all work related operations, both in design and delivery.

This role will enable you to work across a wide breadth of engineering disciplines to help provide the capability and capacity that will enable you to expand your knowledge and experience

Your main responsibilities as a Facilities Management Engineering Governance Engineer will involve:

Developing the utilities infrastructure, particularly the electrical infrastructure, and the control of system design, reliability, operation and maintenance

Developing and supporting cross sites engineering standards and engineering processes

Interpreting and guiding on British, European and International standards

Evaluating and selecting support consultancy

Undertaking project lifecycle design reviews, value engineering and specification and standards conformance

Developing project specifications with colleagues, often including those from other engineering disciplines

Internal auditing and auditing of external service providers

Evaluating engineering standards and specifications for use in offshore areas of the business

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Demonstrable electrical engineering background in both distribution and electrical building service
  • BSc in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Membership of a Professional Institute (IET or CIBSE)
  • Extensive Industrial experience preferred within a Hard Facilities Management role
  • Experience of mechanical building services and mechanical Infrastructure design and commissioning

Desirable:

  • Experience in renewable technologies and the principles of sustainability and energy management
  • Awareness of utilities design and Codes of Practice and Standards

You will have good analytical skills and the ability to present and tailor information to a diverse audience. You will be keen to continuously learn both within and beyond the role.

Salary: £37, 654 +
