Summary of Role

Raytheon UK are currently looking for motivated and hardworking individuals to join us in a Higher Apprenticeship scheme, covering various aspects of Engineering. As an Apprentice Engineer within Raytheon, you will be in a permanent role, working alongside engineers from diverse backgrounds covering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical and production engineering. As such, this particular role is suitable for someone looking to develop and grow their knowledge in engineering.

Main Duties

There are a number of disciplines within engineering, all of which have an important role to play in the design, development and maintenance of technology solutions and products. It is critical that, during all phases of a programme or a product, the build of hardware and supporting documentation is known and recorded. This configuration and data management underpins product integrity and is, therefore, a key engineering discipline.

The main responsibilities within this role will see you administer, maintain and support the various business areas, with particular focus on Configuration and Data Management. This will include planning, development, establishment and maintenance of hardware, software assets and other artefacts including documentation across a multitude of new and legacy systems. You can expect to expand any engineering knowledge that you already possess by becoming an exponent in the use of appropriate techniques and using corporate tools in the control of a wide range Company Assets.

The role offers the successful candidate the opportunity, through specific training and on-the-job experience, to develop a career in a global engineering company.

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about learning and developing a successful career within Engineering and Configuration and Data Management in particular. To be considered you will require:
 

  • Five or more GCSEs Grade 4 or above which include Maths, English and a Science subject.
  • Two or more A Levels or equivalent in STEM subjects at Grade C or above.
  • Good general office skills including MS Office (Word, Excel etc.).
  • You will need to be self-motivated, be a team player and enjoy a challenge.
