In addition, UKAEA has burgeoning programmes looking into key fusion technologies such as robotics and remote maintenance (at the RACE facility), materials research and testing (at the MRF centre), advanced computing, tritium handling, component testing and developing the STEP spherical tokamak power plant programme.
