We are hiring a Principle Security Engineer (Penetration Tester) to join our growing CTO office. As a security expert you will lead our IT, infrastructure and software development teams across the business units with projects to test and assess security vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to Group Security Architect, you will support telent Group security projects and programmes. Responsibilities will include;

  • Lead with analysis of penetration test reports and implement remediation plans. 
  • Liaison with business units, third party suppliers and external customers to help resolve vulnerabilities. 
  • Undertake vulnerability scanning and perform analysis and interpretation of results.
  • Optimise penetration testing toolsets.
  • Assist with the continual improvement of processes and implementing security runbooks for telent.
  • Collaborate with the wider technology teams to ensure full coverage of cyber protection.
  • Assist with the implementation of selected security solutions and transition to operational support.
  • Work with internal teams, business units, suppliers as required to evaluate new technologies for potential adoption.
  • Assist, lead, evaluate in the implementation of new SIEM solutions & SOC services for group.
  • Support CTO, IT with re-certifications in schemes such as Cyber Essentials.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge and experience of IT security
  • A Security qualification, preferably: CompTIA Pentest+, Security+, OSCP, CyberOps, SANs or Tiger schemes
  • Experience of undertaking and leading penetration testing / ethical hacking
  • Experience of running vulnerability scans and understanding the security risk review process
  • Membership of CHECK or ability to certify against the scheme.
  • Eligible for Security Clearance (successful appointment will be subject to being granted Security Clearance)  
  • High documentation standard
  • Knowledge and understanding of the current and developing strategic information requirements of a Technology Services business
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Skill in organising resources and establishing priorities
  • Preferably CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA or CompTIA Network+ qualified
